Week 1- it's DONE!

Well the first week of the new year has officially come and gone. That  feels strange to say doesn’t it? How did yours go? Did you accomplish anything great? Stick with any  new years resolutions? Learn something new about yourself? Or maybe it was a super rough week in which you felt unsuccessful and unaccomplished. Whichever the case may be, that week is over, and a fresh new one has began. Whatever happened last week is unchangable and the only option is to move and look forward to the future. What a blessing that is though right?  Take a moment to reflect on the week that just passed. Write down the  things that made you feel good and happy that happened. Reflect and  point out the things that hurt you, made you sad, or that brought  about feelings you didn’t like. Take both categories into  consideration and decide how to get more of the good, and less of the  bad! I am happy to report that all of those things and then some happened...

12 Months of Sunshine!

Well hello 2017!!! How amazing it is to see you!  As many of you may know, I began a blog some years back that I called  “If I Die Today, I Think You Should Know.” This blog was something I  created in efforts to share experiences, positivity, knowledge, and  life lessons with the blog world (mostly friends and family) that were  centered around the chance that if I weren’t alive tomorrow, I would  want everyone to know those things before I left this earth. These  previous posts were from a much younger, much more naïve place in my  life, but still offer a breath of fresh air on the crazy world we live  in. They’re still loaded on this blog site and I would still implore  you to check them out if you need a good pick-me-up!  With over a year passed since I last wrote an entry, and with a new  year sparkling in all of our eyes right now, I wanted to re-create and  re-define my blog this year. Thus with 2017 now ...

Taking Care of Me; Taking Care of You.

Well helloooo again blog world!  For those of ya'll that may be checking this little thing out for the first time, I started a blog a few years back where I would post things I was going through that I thought others could relate to, dreams, inspirations, motivational things, etc. I entitled the blog "If I die today, I think you should know."  It sounds a bit morbid, I know. But it was something I wanted to do to sort of keep a public diary of some things I wanted to share with others by putting the thoughts into blog posts. Therefore saying, that if I were to die today, I would want my loved ones, family, and friends to know these things.  I must admit, reading back on some of the posts from my "3-years-ago-me" are slightly comical, but also had a lot of wonderful memories and discoveries I had forgotten all about until I went back and read a few tonight. I also had a lot of advice to offer that was remarkably refreshing to read even today!  I did ...

Your life; make every minute count.

Well my friends, it has been a hot second since I have written on this blog. But after some recent experiences, and seeing one of my best friends, Tay Dunn, start her own blog up, I decided it was time to put up a post. Though it may seem so, I have not forgotten about this blog or writing posts for that matter. No, no, no. I think about this blog everyday and have been contemplating on what the next thing I should write about would be. You see, a lotttttt has happened to me over the past 7 months and I have a lot that I could give advice on or talk about. But I think the topic of choice tonight will be on living your life, and making every minute count.  Before I get too preachy on all of this, I've decided to share a little bit about why I am where I am right now in my personal life, and why I want to remind all of yall to make every minute of YOUR personal life count.  As most of you know, my Dad became an angel at the end of this past January. I don't like say...

Inspire: start a revolution.

SOOO wow!  It's been forever since I have written one of these which is very sad to me as I realize now I have just not taken the time to sit down and put my thoughts out for the world to see! However, I am changing that right now! :) I have been thinking a lot about the next post I would write since it has been so long, and have been wanting to do one about inspiration for a longggg time now. After witnessing what I did tonight, I realized now was the perfect time to write one.  I am currently in Portland, Oregon on a forensics tournament, but have had a couple of special opportunities to explore this amazing city and all it has to offer.  The first thing I realized being here is that Portland is SO different than the south. People here are the most unique individuals I have ever seen in my life. To get some imagery going, picture Little 5 Points (in Atlanta) but over the span of an entire city. That my friends is Portland, Oregon. It.is.incredible. There are mom ...
