It's Sunday morning and I am off to church, for the first time in over a month, with Jay Hart :)
My mom told me to say this as a little prayer a long, long time ago. On mornings when I wake up feeling wonderful, or not so wonderful, I say this, and 99 times out of 100, I feel amazingly comforted and better.
Take this and start saying it whenever you have the chance; when you first wake up, when you are enjoying a beautiful day outside in the sunshine, when you are stressed or upset, anytime. And really think about the words and their meaning when you say it. See what it does for you.
The 23rd Psalm:
The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name' sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: For thou art with me;
Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies;
Thou annointest my head with oil; My cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the House of the Lord forever.
So that is that.
If I die today, I would want you to know this.
xo, Jell.
